data coding effort. It does, however, provide insight into the data coding
process.

In the examples below, the student has chosen to "mark"
the significant points by highlighting the text in blue. Then, the student
has "coded" the highlighted text with initials that stand for
the issues for analysis: Power/Authority, Knowledge/Expertise,
Status, Worker-Worker or Student-Student
relationships, Management-Worker or Teacher-Student
relationships, Initiation of Contact or discourse, and Completion
of Contact or discourse.
Please be advised that these examples represent only a minimal portion
of the student's data coding of his transcripts.
