About
Nancy Huber...
I grew up in rural Maine
and, after graduating from the University of Maine, marrying, and
starting a family, thought I was settling down in the same small
community where my roots were six generations deep. However, life
is full of surprises! In the early eighties, I moved to Wisconsin
with two teenaged children and embarked on a graduate program.
Since I had been representing my home state on a national advisory and
advocacy committee for several years, I chose to focus my studies on
volunteerism. However, I soon came to believe that volunteer is
another name for leader. And so on my desk you will find some
projects and papers, an abbreviated vita, and some of my favorite
