Office Hours:
To schedule an appointment please call my Administrative Associate Marie Messina at 621 1983. I an normally available on a walk in basis for students enrolled in my classes and for graduate students in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. It is best to call Marie before, however, to make sure that I am around.

Absence from Class
In graduate classes students any absences must be approved by the instructor. In undergraduate classes students are allowed three unexcused absences. After the third unexcused absence a student's grade in an undergraduate class will be dropped five percent per absence. All holidays or special events observed by organized religions will be honored for those students who show affiliation with that particular religion. Absences pre-approved by the UA Dean of Students (or Dean's designee) will be honored.

Classroom Behavior
Please assure that your cell phone or pager is turned off before class starts. Disruptive or threatening behavior will be reported to the Dean of Students or, if its seriousness so requires, to the appropriate legal authorities. Please refer to http://policy.web.arizona.edu/~policy/threaten.shtml

Plagarism
All work for the class must be the student's own. Please make sure you are conversant with the University's policy on plagarism which you can find in the Student Code of Academic Integrity here

Students with Disabilities
If you anticipate the need for reasonable accommodations to meet the requirements of this course, you must register with the Disability Resource Center and request that the DRC send me official notification of your accommodation needs as soon as possible. Please plan to meet with me by appointment or during office hours to discuss accommodations and how my course requirements and activities may impact your ability to fully participate.
