Coconino County

The Grand Canyon is the ulitmate landmark of Arizona, giving the state it's nickname. It is a tremendous scar carved out by the mighty Colorado River in the plateau of northern Arizona. Its vastness cannot be captured in words. It can only be appreciated in person standing on the rim.

Here are a few of the pictures I took from the South Rim when I visited it with my parents, sister, and my niece back in 2000.
