  Life in Plastic

Hi all! I think it's about time to move on. I can't say what terrible things may lay in the future, but hopefully someone will be looking out for us all and run some interference. That is the best that I can hope for. So I'll just move on and fill you all in on the less than incredible happenings in my life. First off, surprise surprise! I'm single again. Go figure, I finally decide to date someone (granted it was "expiration dating" as my best friend termed it) and it doesn't last more than a month. I'd say that I have learned that the way my schedule is nowadays, I don't have time to sincerely date anyone. And my hippie sister gave me some good advice: "Don't judge a man on his potential." So now that that delusion is over, it's back to the life of a bachelorette.

Lately I've been going home on the weekends. I was embarrassed at first, but I had such a fantastic time that I must say that I'm now willing to share with you all my most recent job. Leighton booked me to do a promotion for Mattel. Yes, Mattel, one of the biggest toy companies based in New York...makers of "Barbie." And guess whom they chose just from my pictures online to play the infamous plastic princess? Yuppers, that's right, me! The last two weekends I've headed to Phx, hung out with friends and then woken up early Saturday, put on some fancy make up and curl my hair. I drove to Fry's (don't make fun) and donned a pink fluffy dress, slipped into my hot pink pumps and placed my plastic tiara carefully on my golden head. So that is enough of the most ridiculous part of the whole thing. I admit it, ridiculously funny, I know. But seriously, the little girls that came to see Barbie were soooooo freaking cute! Their little 2-9 year old faces lit up like a Christmas tree when they spotted me. Some of them were so shy they just hid behind their moms or even behind a hanging rug. But as soon as I went to them and offered them a hug, they would give me the sweetest tightest embrace that would break anyone's heart. Some little girls were so darn cute and came to me at a dead run. A few even brought me drawings or little notes. One little girl even gave me a drawing that is now posted on my wall that says "To Barbie, From Chrissy, #1 fan, I love you." I absolutely loved every pretty in pink moment of it. I've even decided to post a picture of it for you all. Enjoy my day in plastic!

So coming up: Kris is back in town and staying till Sunday. I'm heading back to Phx on Wednesday with Dave, Lauren, and my friend Will. I'll be dropping off Will with his mom and then spending Wed night rockin' out at the Yellowcard concert with Tim 2. The next day, Thanksgiving Day, will be filled with friends and family and sooooo much food. I definitely wouldn't be able fit in my Barbie dress this weekend. I always loooove holidays that are all about eating fantastic food with great family. Anyhow, life calls...I'm off and next update might be more eventful. Love you all!
