  Expatriate Act

I have found myself in the midst of an incomprehensible situation. Here I was under the impression that I was fortunate enough to be living in the most advanced country in the world in terms of scientific achievement, political systems, and forward thought. Yesterday has utterly crushed this naive impression. I now understand that all of this freedom of thought and the right to the pursuit of happiness is a nice fairy tale that we are all told as young children. Apparently our land of equality yet again fails to uphold the ideals that our forefathers put forth to pave the long and arduous path to a truly great country. So rather than continuing my incredulous babble that 51% of the American population evidently wouldn't be able to comprehend anyways, I have a proposal to solve the severe anguish and intense sadness that the intellectually sound, rhetorically accepting portion of the population of the USA finds itself under. I suggest a Brain Drain from this evidently ignorant nation. This is a formal invitation to all those of intellectual forethought and a common respect for mankind and the world to join me in leaving the country. I personally intend to spend the '05-'06 school year at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. A place of truly academic thought might be good for me, and depending on whether the residual administration continues on its outright attack of freedom of choice, speech and liberty, I might just stay there. So, I encourage you to join me in leaving the country in a truly American statement of expatriatism.

And for other news: I have new pictures up from the awesome Halloween party that Killa Joe hosted on Saturday night. So incredibly amusing! I also am in the process of dropping that advanced physics course that I was taking. Yeah, I can admit it, I was painfully wrong about being able to take on that much for one semester. I had an A, but honestly wouldn't be able to maintain my grades in all my classes, and my sanity, had I kept it. And a final note, in response to my brother's query: yes I did have a date the other night, and it went wonderfully. I actually will be continuing to date the facinating young man, Luay, for an extended period of time. If you want to hear more, then ask.
