I decided to compile a list of Tim Williamses after doing a exhaustive search while looking at my ranking on various web search engines. There are so many Tim Williamses out there that it is hard to find any particular one. In fact, I work at the University of Arizona and there is another Timothy R. Williams here and when I worked at the Mauna Kea Observatory there was another Tim Williams there. Maybe this list may actually be of use to someone¹ (or at least other Tim Williamses will link to it and boost my ratings.
There are so many Tim Williamses out there in large part due to Williams being the third most common English surname. According the 1990 United States Census, 0.699% of the American populace is named Williams (only Smith and Brown are more common). Timothy is the 27th most popular given name for males, making up 0.640% of the male population of the United States.
If you are looking for a particular Tim Williams don't email me. I have no special powers of deduction when it comes to figuring out which Tim Williams you went to second grade with.

The Tim Williamses presented here are in no particular order (it is very hard to alphabetize a list of names when they are all "Tim Williams"). The categories and organization is just what development naturally without any plan or forethought on my part. The brief bio or description is based on what I could glean from the web pages cited. I have tried to include the link to an individual Tim Williams' biography, if one could easily be found.
I have tried to keep duplicates off the list, which may have resulted in some Tim Williamses not being referenced. If a reference to a Tim Williams was old, broken, or not I was unsure who that particular Tim Williams was, I did not include him. If a reference indicated that Timothy was not his given first name (for example Timothy was his middle name and he preferred it over his real name), then that "Tim" Williams is not included. If a particular Tim Williams is deceased, he will not be listed either.
