Gannett Company is the publisher for many national nnewspapers, including the largest non-national newspaper, "The Arixona Republic", based out of Phoeniz, Arizona. Gannett owns twenty three television stations, including major stations in the major cities of Phoenix, Tampa, and Washington D.C. Frank Gannett from Rochester, New York founded the company in 1923. Gannett started with a small newspaper company based in Elmira, New York, and now the company is a publicly traded company with headquarter sin Tysons Corner, a suburb of Washington D.C. Gannett Company publishes 650 magazines and over 200 weekly newspapers.
