Let's see... What is there to say about me? 1) In May 2011, I received my Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT) from The University of Arizona and have since moved back to Heidelberg, Germany. 2) During my doctoral studies, I worked as a Graduate Associate in Teaching at the Department of German Studies. 3) My students call me "Frau Tina." 4) I am a German citizen and grew up in a small town in Lower Franconia. 5) I am an only child. 6) Leo is my sign of the zodiac; and 7) seven is my lucky number!

I also received an M.A. degree in English, Spanish and Italian Language, Linguistics and Literature from the University of Heidelberg in 2002, and a second M.A. degree in German Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004. As a Graduate Associate in Teaching, I taught a wide variety of lower- and upper-division language and content courses as well as graduate seminars. In addition to my teaching, I worked as the Assistant to the Director of Basic Languages, as Webmaster for the Department of German Studies, and as an Editorial Assistant for a number of academic publications.

On this page, you'll find online teaching materials I created while teaching at the University of Pittsburgh, links to German webpages as well as more information about myself and my adventures in and outside of academia. A complete curriculum vitae is available upon request. Thanks for visiting my page, and I hope you'll enjoy your stay!
