I am a Professor of Management Information Systems in the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management.
Before joining the
University of Arizona, I was an assistant professor at Indiana
University. I received my PhD from the University of Minnesota and my MBA
from Syracuse University. My work experience includes positions as a
programmer/analyst, information system consultant, and an IS manager. I
have conducted research on technology implementation, individual adoption,
computer-mediated communication, technology-mediated learning, and related
topics. My research has been published in MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Organizational
Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of MIS, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Communications
of the ACM, Journal of the AIS, and others. I have presented my
research at a number of national and international conferences and have
received competitive research grants from sources including the Kelley
School of Business, the David D. Lattanze Center, the
John Deere Corporation, and NSF. I was recognized by the MIS Quarterly
as reviewer of the year for 2001, and joined the MIS Quarterly editorial
board as an Associate Editor in 2003. I was recognized by Information Systems Research as Best
Associate Editor in 2008. I have been on the editorial boards of a number of
journals and am currently serving as Senior Editor at MIS Quarterly. Over the
course of my career, I have received over 20 teaching awards and
citations. I am a member of the
Association for Information Systems, the Academy of Management, the Decision
Sciences Institute, and INFORMS.
