On Format

Be sure to label your paper with the following information on the first page.

Begin the header one inch below top of page, and center it.

Joe Student
Music XXX - Section X
Instructor or Section Leader
Month xx, 200X
Project Number X, Option X

Skip two spaces and begin with the first line of your report.

Other Tips

• Double-space the type and use at least a 12  point font (pitch).
• Number each page of your report.
• Staple together all pages. (Yes, staple; don't use a paper clip.)
• Proofread and fix errors before submitting the paper.
• Use a word processor.
• Important! Keep a copy for your own records.
• Include a complete list of all references used. This may be appended at the end of the paper. Skip two spaces and type the words "Sources Cited," skip two more spaces and begin your list. Do not number your sources. Use the the bibliography in the Garofalo's Rockin' Out as guideline for bibliographic format
