The annual meeting of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Musicological Society and the Southwest Chapter of the Society for Ethnomusicology will take place on Friday and Saturday, March 28 and 29, 2008, at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. The meeting will coincide with the final week of the Wassermann Festival, which will feature a Friday evening performance by pianist Robert McDonald and the Fry Street Quartet. Complimentary tickets will be available for AMS and SEM members who are registered for the meeting.
Call for Proposals
We are soliciting proposals from society members for papers, demonstrations, and special sessions on any topic related to musicology or ethnomusicology. (All presentations are limited to twenty minutes, with ten minutes for discussion.) Please include in your proposal a title, an abstract of no more than 250 words, your name, institutional affiliation, e-mail address, phone number, and A/V equipment needs. Student submissions must be accompanied by a faculty letter of reference.
