Welcome

Welcome | Introduction | History | Art and Architecture | References/Credits | Links

This webpage is dedicated to one of the greatest sites of the Greek Civilization, namely the Acropolis of Athens. The website provides general information, while addressing historical background of the Acropolis. The focus of attention will be placed on one of the major temples, the Parthenon, discussing its style, architecture, and art.

The content of this page is developed by Sherif S. Morgan, an undergraduate student at the University of Arizona, as an honors project for Classics 220 (The Classical Tradition I). The professor for the class is Dr. Jon Solomon. I just want to take this chance to say that Dr. Solomon is a great professor!

Below, I have listed the different sections that make up this site, and a little bit of details about what each of the sections contain. To navigate through the site, use the links on the top and bottom of each page.

Hopefully, I will be able to complete this work by including all of the temples. I hope you enjoy your visit, and please feel free to email me!
