I am a 44 year old returning student. The Navajo Rez is where I grew up. Kayenta, AZ is my home town, but I have been off reservation for 22 years. I like knitting and am currently working on a baby blanket in a soft, peach colored yarn. I like to write poetry and recently had my first poem published. Currently I am reading Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover series. I enjoy cooking for myself and friends and spending time together. I graduated from ASU with a psychology degree in 2003. It took me 20 years to get my undergraduate degree. I am hoping that I get done with my masters much sooner!

My career interests at the start of this program were aimed toward being a public librarian, specifically in the Metro-Phoenix area. But there is so much to learn and so many areas to explore. I have a dream in the back of my mind to work as a information consultant of some sort which would have me traveling around the country (in a little motorhome). My last place of employment was the Paul Elsner Library at Mesa Community College. It was a great job, and I wanted to expand on that experience and make being a library and information specialist a career.
