I'm a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Arizona, studying Rhetoric, Composition, and the Teaching of English. I currently direct the CATS Academics Writing Center and provide workshops for Instructional Computing in the College of Humanities. I have also taught a variety of courses as a graduate associate in teaching, which you can learn about in the teaching portion of this website.
My research interests are focused broadly on the history and theory of creative writing as an academic discipline within English studies. More particularly, I'm interested in eighteenth and nineteenth century American colleges, classical poetics, and the workshop method of writing instruction.
Before coming to the UA, I received an MFA (with a fiction emphasis) from West Virginia University, and I continue to write and publish creative work. Please see the "links" section of this site for samples.
