• Readings - Chapter 13.3 from SME handbook (red covered book), this reading covers selection and sizing of excavating equipment, including draglines (Module 2.1) and loading equipment including Electrical and Hydraulic shovels, and Front End Loaders (Module 3: Loading) (note that all of section 13.3.4 (draglines) and section 13.3.6.4 (scrapers) is required). Remember that you must be a member of the SME to view this online book.
