I am a native of Mexico City and studied English

literature and language at the Universidad Nacional

Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM). After a three year

stay in Europe I decided to study in Germany and

earned an MA in trilingual translation from the

Universitat Mainz - FASK Germersheim. During my

last year at this university I won a scholarship to

Louisiana State University - BatonRouge for one year

as an exchange student and earned a second MA in

Spanish Literature. Presently, I am working towards a

Ph.D. in Border Studies at the University of Arizona

where I teach intermediate Spanish to undergraduates.
