fsQCA is an R module for conducting Qualitative Comparative Analysis
within the R statistical environment. The tar.gz file is for Unix
(and, I presume, Apple) installations and the zip file is for Windows.

For Windows users: download the file to your computer, start R, and
click "Packages -> Install Package from Local Zip" (or whatever it's
called). Attach the package by entering library(fsQCA) at the command
prompt. I assume that it'll work but haven't checked.

I'm bumping the package's state to beta: the package has been
subjected to extensive testing and the results are correct. A fair
amount of error-trapping (and hopefully-helpful error messages) have
been put in place. The package could certainly be a bit more
user-friendly and it's still pretty slow (i.e., don't use it for more
than a handful of conditions). I'll be addressing these concerns in
the next release.

Documentation isn't completely up-to-date. Most notably, the routine
that checks for necessary conditions (helpfully named nec.conds()) is
completely undocumented. So here's the documentation:
nec.conds(my_data_set [,outcome.col ,consist.thresh]).

If you find any bugs or if the package fails to fail gracefully,
please email your data set and command syntax to
<rubinson@u.arizona.edu> and I'll take a look.
