After high school, I attended the University of Puerto Rico in metropolitan San Juan. After graduation, I joined the FBI and spent 16 grueling weeks of training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA. After graduating from the FBI Academy, I was assigned to the San Juan, PR, field office. I worked for the Bureau for 6.5 yrs. I left the FBI after getting into a shootout with bank robbers. I was badly wounded. The three bank robbers did not succeed in robbing the bank. Two were killed and the third is permanently disabled. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1974, where I have served as a Bishop and in a Stake Presidency. I now live in Independence, MO, and work for a bank in downtown KCMO.
I am married, have three wonderful children: Adam (19), attending college and preparing to serve a full-time mission for our church. Ruben (17), who is a senior in high school, graduating this year. Julie (16) who is a sophomore in high school. My wife, Kathy, is an elementary school teacher, teaching gifted and academically talented children.
I'm looking forward to the reunion and hooking up with all my friends.
