| Obituary~
Services for Debra Lou Lindsley, 52, of Milford will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Wolf officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Lindsley died at her residence on May 10, 2004. Memorial contributions may be given to the Amber-Leigh Renee Glessner Memorial Fund, c/o Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, P.O. Box 826, Junction City, KS 66441. Lindsley was born June 9, 1951, in Junction City to Guy Wayne and Betty Lou (Stewart) Dillon. She graduated from Junction City High School in 1969 and was a lifelong resident of the Junction City/Milford area. She was employed by USD 475 for 16 years and seven months. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls through the Masonic Lodge for girls during her high school years. She was very dedicated to many other associations and clubs including Girl Scouts and the Junction City High School Blue Jay Boosters, and she served on the Geary County Grapplers Board for 11 years from 1984-1995. She married James Lindsley Sept. 20, 1970, in Junction City, and he survives. She is also survived by two sons, Jay Lindsley and Bryan Lindsley both of Junction City; two daughters, Jamie Lindsley of Junction City and Betty Solis of Fort Riley; seven brothers, Jimmy Dillon of Topeka, Tom Dillon and Dennis Dillon both of Manhattan, Jerry Dillon of Papillion, Neb., Ken Dillon of Junction City, Danny Penn of Dekalb, Ill., and Gary Penn of Milford; four sisters, Violet Seastrom, Susie Schauff and Patty Dillon all of Topeka and Kathy Glessner of Junction City and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and niece Amber-Leigh Renee Glessner. Pallbearers will be Brock Glessner, Jacob Dillon, Jerrod Dillon, Tommy Dillon, Troy Dillon, Todd Dillon, Tyler Dillon and Guy Matthew Dillon. The organist will be Florence Whitebread. |
