Polar Ring Galaxies LD/EBD Programs.........! ! ! WE'RE MEETING OUR GOALS ! ! !

Our fourth year of the awarded four years of funding, 2002-2006, is about to begin September 1, 2005. Our interdisciplinary teacher preparation program, INTERSTELLAR TEACH Project, is designed to prepare teachers and specialists with interdisciplinary, collaborative emphases through courses, field based experiences and research based methods of assessment, teaching, and collaboration. Our INTERSTELLAR TEACH graduate students will focus on educating culturally and linguistically diverse students across categories of high incidence disabilities.

You may know of a special colleague with whom you wish to share this information.

INTERSTELLAR TEACH Project is in its third year of funding! Scholarships are available for Full-Time Graduate Study for M.A. and Ed.S. students! A few scholarships are available for part-time study. We also offer a non-degree program leading to Arizona Cross-Categorical Special Education Certification.

University, Department, and Faculty News....
Within our LD/EBD Specialty Program, Dr. Todd Fletcher, Dr. Nancy Mather, Dr. James Chalfant and Dr. Maria Nahmias, Dr. Carl Liaupsin, and Dr. Nicole Ofiesh, are Faculty at the University of Arizona. Dr. Lawrence Aleamoni is continuing as our department chair. Our exceptional graduate associate is Annmarie Urso.
