As an Office Specialist, Senior, in SERSP, I was exclusively funded by Federal Grants which have ended. My position included, but was not limited to, formatting and routing grant budgets and papers. This included word processing, spreadsheets, secretarial work, desktop publishing, data entry, and an excellent working knowledge of computers.

In 2005, I was one of seven to be nominated for the College of Education (COE) Staff Service Award. I believe it is an accomplishment and honor to be recognized by your peers and supervisors. I thank them for this recognization.

In 2002-03, I was Chair of the Communications Committee for the Staff Advisory Council (SAC) in the College of Education. From 1998-99 to 1999-2000, I was the Corresponding Secretary for the COE-SAC. In my spare time, I worked as a Special Events Monitor for Parking & Transportation at the UofA. I also worked full-time as an Assistant Manager at one of the local Circle K convenience stores. Currently, I still work as an Asst Mngr at Circle K.

In 1999, I received The University of Arizona's 1999 Awards for Excellence. It was, indeed, a very great honor to be among the "Best of the Best" staff at The University of Arizona. I thank those who nominated me, who helped me along the way, and those who chose me to be one of the Best of The Best.

In December 1999, I received an Associate of Applied Science Degree (Small Business Computer Specialist), AAS, and in December 1998, I received an Associate Degree in General Studies, AGS. Both were from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona.
