Created Code of Ethics for CAM Information Professionals as final project to demonstrate understanding of ethical responsibilities of information professionals; code specifically geared towards medical librarians working with complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) materials.

Compiled Pathfinder on resources for veganism at Pima County Public Library, Joel D. Valdez Main Branch; through understanding intellectual scope, user needs, and organization of various collections pertaining to the topic within the library branch, was able to put together resources and search rationale for individuals seeking introductory information on a vegan lifestyle. This topic was chosen due to recent popularity of "green" lifestyles and general public interest in health.

After analyzing public libraries and a particular service area based on issues of diversity, invented new programming ideas based on research of minority community needs and wants based on specific location and delineated through final project of Programming for Diverse Groups in a Madison, WI Public Library. Also created census maps to illustrate target minority populations: Women // Asians.

To understand collection development, produced an Opening Day Collection Report for the subject of homeopathy. Report relates to collection development policy, rationale behind collecting, budget, user needs, and intellectual scope, also demonstrated through collected, annotated items in a variety of formats. Collection suitable for a medical library already having or interested in a focus on CAM. Collection development tools were assessed through Collection Development Tools Assessment for Homeopathy Collection.

Authored paper on the National Library of Medicine Public Access Policy to investigate a current government policy affecting information access, examining open access and intellectual property.

Completed an internship with Marti Lindsey at the Community Outreach and Education Core (COEC) at the Southwest Environmental Health Sciences Center (SWEHSC). Through this experience, have learned more in depth web design practices of usability and organization of information by updating and maintaining the KEYS Internship site and completely redesigning the COEC site (authored a paper explaining methodology and rationale behind redesign of COEC site). Attained greater skill with virtual reference by drafting pathfinders on environmental health topics related to particular subjects as well as particular communities (such as the Gila River Indian Community).
