Jim Paul is a poet and writer living in the Rincon Mountains east of Tucson. His new novel, Elsewhere in the Land of Parrots, was published in summer 2003 by Harcourt. He is also the author of Catapult: Harry and I Build a Siege Weapon and Medieval in LA (both Harvest books) and of The Rune Poem, published by Chronicle Books. His poems have appeared in The New Yorker, the Paris Review, Poetry, and elsewhere.
