meetings

We meet every other Thursday in Bio West room 237. 

At each meeting, we will read a short article that addresses current healthcare issues in the world.  Meetings are lively discussions about themes such as healthcare access, political structure, and cultural differences.  Readings should take 15minutes to complete, but at each meeting we will give a synopsis of the readings for those who have had a busy week.  

Come join us!

 Community project:

The Community Health Intervention Project (CHIP) is our opportunity to learn about the healthcare needs that exist in our community and to work to alleviate health disparities.

 reading group:

The reading group will be reading in depth and discussing essays by Susan Sonntag.  The group will meet every other Thursday (opposite CHP Thursdays) in BioWest 237.

 refugee health:

The Refugee Health group is currently developing hygeine programs to better help refugee children adjust to living in a new culture. These programs are sorely needed in the community and we can always use more help!
