Matthew HelmkeI am a husband, a father of three, and a writer. I have written magazine articles, contributed to books, and written and published my own books. I am also a musician and play the guitar and the bass, have played as a studio musician for other artists, and hope someday to record some of my own music. I am an avid and voracious reader, speak several languages, have worked as an information consultant on topics including culture, language, religion and computers, and spent several years running a small business in North Africa. I do a bit of work as a website designer and administrator, am a part of the Ubuntu Linux community, a free and open source software enthusiast, and more.
