PSGS Data Lab
To assist
graduate students and faculty with questions about statistical analyses,
data manipulation, entry, and storage, as well as data software questions, the
Department of Political Science Graduate Program has created a PSGS Data
Lab. The primary focus of our two lab
technicians is to assist our graduate students with problems regarding data and
analysis. However, faculty with similar
questions about data and analysis may also ask for assistance. Please keep in mind, the students analysts
are NOT permitted to collect, enter, or conduct analysis on behalf of any
student or faculty—rather the focus is to help you identify more efficient and
accurate means of entering and manipulating data, and understanding statistical
software. Also keep in mind that we
have created this lab on a trial basis only, which is operated by two of our
graduate students on a part-time basis.
Please be respectful of their time and schedules. Bill Dixon and I will supervise the lab both
to help make the lab more
successful and to ensure that Mike and Jessica's hours are spent in accordance
with and limited to this position's intended purpose.
