My Courses

  • Psyc 325 Cognitive Psychology
  • This course introduces students to current thinking about the way in which the human mind represents and processes information about the outside world. These mental representations of objects and events serve as the basis for learning and memory, pattern recognition, the use of language, and our ability to reason and solve problems.

  • Psyc 542 Lexical Systems (Topics in Psycholinguistics)

Theories of the computational systems involved in the mental lexicon. How is the mental lexicon organized? What information retrieval mechanisms are employed by the brain/mind to retrieve information about the meanings of words? How can we design experiments that will answer these questions?
