Bio

Dr. Daning Hu is an Associate Professor (with Tenure) at the Department of Finance of the Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzhen, China.  He was evaluated by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and selected into the 2018 "Thousand Talents Program for Young Scholars".

Prior to joining SUSTech, Daning was an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the University of Zurich in Switzerland. He has also taught at Management or Computer Science schools in the University of Arizona, Zhejiang University, CityU HK, and CUHK (SZ).

Daning's research is in the areas of Business (Network) Analytics, Information Systems/Computer Science, and Applied Econometrics. His current research focuses on Fintech, Social and Economic Mechanisms in Complex Networks, and the Intersection of Econometrics and Machine Learning. His work has appeared in MISQ, JAIS, DSS, JASIST, and IEEE/ACM Transactions, among others.

南方科技大学商学院胡大宁课题组招收科研助理、博士后、研究助理教授及博士生

一、教师简介

课题组带头人胡大宁现任南方科技大学金融系长聘(tenured)副教授,主要研究方向为金融科技(FinTech)与商务大数据分析(Business Analytics)。胡教授于2018年入选中组部第十四批“千人计划”青年项目。胡教授2004年本科毕业于浙江大学计算机学院,2009年从美国亚利桑那大学商学院获得管理信息系统(MIS)博士学位。据US News排名,该校MIS专业连续30年排名全美前五。

回国前他在瑞士苏黎世大学(QS世界排名73)商学院信息系统系任助理教授。他还曾在亚利桑那大学,浙江大学,香港城市大学等多个世界一流大学短期任教。

他的研究领域包括商务网络分析,信息系统/计算机科学和应用计量经济学。他目前的研究重点是金融科技,复杂网络中的社会和经济机制,以及计量经济学和机器学习的结合。他的论文发表在MIS Quarterly, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, IEEE and ACM Transactions 等多个国际著名期刊上。主持和参与了包括瑞士自科和中国自科联合支持的SSSTC大数据研究项目在内的多个科研项目。
