Philosophy
I believe that teaching is an interactive process, in which both instructor and students are looking for intellectual rewards. The instructor is rewarded by the progress students make in the classroom and the students gain from the acquisition of new knowledge from the course. A fundamental question for the instructor is how to reach this goal. I believe that this can be accomplished by targeting 4 specific topics: (i) motivation; (ii) structured lecture; (iii) efficient communication; and (iv) feedback. These principles are useful for both undergraduate and graduate level courses, however, adjustment is needed according to the audience.
