I am a sociologist of culture,
race, and globalization. I recently defended my dissertation, on Racialized
Cultural Capital and Inequality in Brazil, in the Sociology Department at
the University of Arizona. In addition to the long-term qualitative
fieldwork I conducted in Salvador da Bahia,
Brazil for my dissertation, I conduct qualitative and quantitative research
on racial identity, cultural taste, and social networks.
