The University of Arizona

Philosophy Department

I’m an nth-year philosophy graduate student at the University of Arizona. I earned B.A. degrees in philosophy and English (with an emphasis on linguistics) at the University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio (incidentally, the same city from which philosophers W.V.O. Quine and Joseph Tolliver hail).

My areas of specialization are metaphysics and the philosophy of language; in particular, I like to think about vagueness. Apart from my specialization, I’m also deeply interested in ethics, because I want to live a good life.

When not working, I play outside in the gorgeous Tucson sunshine, read fiction, and mix drinks for friends.
