I am a Ph.D. student in Hispanic Literature (Border Studies Track) and a Graduate Associate in Teaching at the University of Arizona, Tucson. Born in Quito, Ecuador, I moved to Cary, North Carolina with my family in 1990. I received my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Latin American Studies from Appalachian State University. I completed my MA in Latin American Studies from the University of Arizona spring 2007.

During my free time I am learning to play tennis. I enjoy driving around the mountains near Tucson and hiking. I also enjoy traveling as much as I can when school is out.
