Viewing AutoCAD DWF & DWG Images (MS Internet Explorer - ONLY)

The floor plans are in AutoCAD DWG & DWF format and you will need a plug-in to view them.

Once you add a Viewer, you won't have to do it again unless you want or need a later version. The effort to get and install one of these plug-ins is well worth it to see all the detail DWF format offers. Here are some links to other DWF user sites.

Plymouth State College—New Hampshire

Starting with an interactive Java-based campus map, visitors can find detailed information about the buildings and their floor plans. The facilties department at PSC has put drawings of its buildings on the Web using .DWF files.

(To view the DWFs, click on one of the building names, then click "Floor Plans" in the resultant table.)

Pima County Department of Transportation—Arizona

This Arizona county, which includes the city of Tucson, has published landbase parcel maps on the Web using hyperlinked DWF images. Visitors can click through a series of maps to find a specific parcel and view it, or search the maps based on taxpayer name, location, and so on.

DWF (Drawing Web Format) is file format proposed as a standard by Autodesk for making AutoCAD drawings available on the web. DWF files are optimized for web viewing. As a vector format, DWF files have the big advantage of allowing panning and zooming. They are smaller than DWG files, can contain URL links, and allow images to be distributed while keeping the DWG files proprietary.
