A little bit about me
I am currently finishing my PhD at the University of Arizona. My research includes topics that fall within the fields of labor economics, economic history, agricultural/natural resource economics and health economics. If you're interested in the specific topics I am working on, please visit my research page.
I grew up in Seattle and did my undergrad at Western Washington University. Besides school, I spent my time in Bellingham skiing, biking and rowing for the WWU crew team. Unfortunately the lack of water in Tucson has forced me to give up rowing for the time being. I try to stay active, however, and have had a good time hiking and climbing all over the different mountains here in the Southwest. This summer I have trips planned to Mt. Rainier and the Grand Canyon. Although I don't consider myself much of a photographer, I have been able to take some amazing pictures of the different places I've been. A small selection of these are posted in the personal section.
