This year's Arizona Linguistics Circle conference (ALC6) will be held Oct. 5 - 7, 2012.

I am a graduate student in the Douglass Phonetics Laboratory at the University of Arizona Department of Linguistics. Topics of my present work include the phonetics of speech variation, Scots Gaelic (nasalized fricatives, really?), phonetic and corpus study of conversational speech, and automated methods of speech labeling.
