The Arizona Journal of Hispanic Cultural Studies accepts manuscripts of 15-30 double spaced pages including references and notes. The Journal publishes rigorously-argued essays, interviews and works of pedagogical interest which contribute to expanding the critical literature in the field of Hispanic Cultural Studies through interrogations of theoretical horizons and the application of theoretical constructs to particular areas of enquiry. The Journal accepts essays in Spanish, Portuguese and English. All essays are reviewed by members of the Editorial Board and other outside readers. Each year submissions are accepted Until January 31. By June 30, a decision about the content is made by the Editorial Staff. The journal does not maintain a backlog. Authors should submit three copies of each manuscript as well as an electronic version in Microsoft Word for Windows. Essays should be prepared in accordance with the MLA Style Manual. Authors are responsible for providing any tables, drawing, images and illustrations in a publishable format and for securing any permissions necessary for publication. The Journal will entertain suggestions for special sections of a volume.
