MIS 373 – Basic Operations Management (Summer II 2013)

Course Objective: Operations management is concerned with designing, controlling and improving the processes used to produce goods and/or provide services. MIS 373 serves as an introduction to the field of Operations Management. The course will provide students with an understanding of the implications of the many decisions faced by operations managers. Students will also be introduced to quantitative tools used to facilitate the decision-making process. See course outline below.

Course Eligibility Requirements: This course is only available to Eller College of Management students with professional admission status. 

Textbook: William J. Stevenson, Operations Management, Eleventh Edition, McGraw-Hill, 2011. The author provides website: www.mhhe.com/stevenson11e. The first three chapters are (free) available online.
