Pac-10 Conference Administrative Fellowship
The Pac-10 Conference Administrative Fellowship is a 22 month term with the applicant seeking to earn an advanced degree. The Fellowship shall consist of an award of approximately $28,500 for each academic year. Additionally, the fellow will be eligible for graduate school tuition reimbursement up to $2,500 per academic year.
The Fellowship may be awarded to any university graduate, pursuant to a voluntary affirmative action plan. The fellowship is designed primarily to enhance the professional preparation opportunities for ethnic minority group members. The recipient will spend the term as an intern at the Pac-10 Conference and will be involved in most aspects of Conference administration, including sport programs, championships administration, budget, telecommunications, compliance and eligibility and public relations.
CRITERIA
1. Hold a bachelor's Degree
2. Have experience as an undergraduate varsity student-athlete.
3. Have an interest in intercollegiate athletics administration and in pursuing a career in some aspect of this filed.
4, Have verifiable intentions to pursue an advanced degree.
5. Have strong ties to the minority community.
6. Be highly sensitive to the needs and concerns of minority and female student-athletes.
7. Willing to relocate to the vicinity of Walnut Creek, California.
