    Description: The transport of contaminants in the subsurface environment. Effects of dispersion, interphase mass transfer, transformation reactions, and porous-media heterogeneity on transport; covers aqueous (dissolved) and multiphase (immiscible liquid, gas) systems.

    Description: Principles of characterizing and remediating contaminated soil and groundwater systems, with a focus on case studies.

  • ENVS 482/582 -- Reclamation and Redevelopment of Disturbed Lands (3 units)

    Description: The topic of this course are the principles of reclamation and restoration of disturbed lands. Issues of ecosystem services, sustainability, reclamation methods, and redevelopment are covered. Team projects are centered on real-world sites.
