Here are some of the sites I've found to be helpful so far:

• MiKTeX is the TeX implementation I run
• JabRef is the interface I use to maintain my BibTeX files
• Ling-Tex, a page for linguists using LaTeX.
• The Not So Short Introduction to LaTeX (a big ol' pdf)
• The TIPA manual (for using the IPA font package, another big pdf file)
• Templates for syllabi, exams, handouts provided by Russell Brown at the University of Kentucky
