News: Jessie Kosorok has been awarded a Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Institute Undergraduate Research Initiative Grant (03-18-2005) ![]() I am a senior and I am graduating with a BA in Psychology in May 2005. I am from Red Lodge, Montana and I have lived in Tucson for about 5 years. I enjoy the weather and the community very much and hope to continue my education here at the University of Arizona in the Educational Psychology Ph.D. program. Over the years, I have worked as a behavioral health technician, working with adolescents in a group home setting. My experience working with youth has inspired me to conduct research that looks into the student/teacher relationship and if that relationship affects school performance. I would like to improve the educational atmosphere for disadvantaged youth to help them succeed academically and professionally. In the lab, I help with writing grant proposals, testing participants, data collection and analysis, and various other tasks. Jessie is currenly a graduate student in the College of Education at the University of Arizona. |
