I am pursuing my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology with Honors at the University of Arizona. I am a senior but plan on graduating in May 2008. I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and I am a dance instructor at Arizona Dance Source. I enjoy working with children and their families as both, a dance instructor and as a research assistant. I am very interested in the neural mechanisms and other systems involved in disorders, such as AD/HD, and how such research will improve diagnosis and treatment.

In addition to being a research assistant, I am currently working on my Honors Thesis in Psychology and I am gaining valuable experience in brain imaging (fMRI) and clinical interviews. Over the next couple of years I plan on continuing my work in the lab of Dr. Anouk Scheres, as well as participating in more clinical settings and applying to medical school in order to pursue a career in one of my fields of interest (Psychiatry, Pediatrics, OBGYN or Neurology).
