NEWS: Allison Lee has been awarded an Alumni Legacy Grant for her senior thesis! (March 2006) Click here and here to see pictures of Allison's poster presentation at the Honors' Research Forum in April 2006 This is my fifth year at the University of Arizona as I recently graduated in May 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I completed my Senior Honors Thesis “Temporal reward discounting in children and adolescents with AD/HD and controls” in this lab last year using the preliminary data we had gathered for Dr. Scheres’ research. I am overjoyed to be able to help complete the continuation of this study and expand my research experience through involvement in a new imaging study Dr. Scheres and assistants are just beginning. Apart from being employed as a research assistant in this lab I am also a part-time student pursuing admissions to Medical School for 2008 and a volunteer as a clinical assistant in the Child Psychiatry Department of the University Medical Center. I take great joy in working with children in the mental health community and I hope to one day have a career as a Child Psychiatrist. In this lab my duties include: subject recruitment and interviews, psychological assessment and test administration, data entry and analysis, database creation and maintenance, scheduling appointments/contacting subjects, and managing lab tasks. |
