Currently...

I am pursuing my MS in Management Information Systems at University of Arizona. I used to work as a Research Assistant for Dr. Mohan Tanniru (Prof & Head of MIS Dept). I also worked as a software developer at Digital Library Information Systems Team.

Currently, I am a Teaching Assistant for MIS 111 for Dr. Neumann (my Guru), who is also my project advisor. This summer, I interned at Salesforce.com as a Technical Business Analyst Intern. It was an awesome experience on a lovely company with one of the most amazing colleagues.

I love Tucson (i know none of you will believe it - but it is true). Tucson is like in a lot of ways similar to Indian cities. For those who cant travel all the way to India, Tucson climate is a lot similar to Chennai (inspite of having the second largest beach in world). And people in India, visit Chennai to get a feel of Tucson weather.

My department has some of most amazing faculty members and the research here is very good. Althought I might be an MIS student, I am still an engineer by heart. To know more about me click on my resume.

I love watching movies ( language no bar), reading books, writing, philosophy and music of course. Right now i am kind of hooked on to trance and classical music.

Hello there !!!!

Welcome to my home page. I am Ananth, a second year masters student at the MIS dept at the University of Arizona. Now, incase you dont know me at all (which is probably why you are here), a bit about myself.

Previously...

I was born in Madras (presently Chennai - much to my dislike). Shifted to Kerala when i was six months old and lived there till 1993. Studied in convents and was taught that "all things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful the lord god made em all" (forgive me incase i am wrong - you see memory fades as you grow old). By the way in case i havent mentioned before (which of course i havent), I am now 24 years old. So after Kerala, back to Chennai (geez that name really is bad). Stayed for sometime in Andhra Pradesh (lovely place with abundance of hospitals and theatres for some strange reason - logic fails at times and at times like this we continue reading further).

After 12th or high school (2000) did my undergrad in Chemical Engineering from NITK Surathkal (formerly KREC). How i got in there is a mystery to many of my friends even today? After graduating from there in 2004, worked for sometime at 24/7 Customer for DELL.
