The values that appear in table 1 on page 4 are for Vega as given by these coordinates

which are only approximate.

The HA value for local time 22:00 should be "0:12" (no minus sign). Also the UT range should be from 3 to 12, not from 1 to 10 as is shown.

The observatory coordinates are those for Kitt Peak. This information is needed to complete ex. 3 on page 6. In general, for Ex. 3, the student can use the values from Skycalc given here to confirm that their code produces the same values as appear on that page (which are also the values that appear in table 1 of the text).

For exercise 1 on page 55, which continues onto page 56, step (c) contains search center values not appropriate for the data values provided.
The line which reads:
"... pixel locations: 6,8; 14,16; 14.3, 18.2; 11.22, 9.34"
should read:
"... pixel locations: 6,8; 14,11; 14, 8; 11, 9"

Also, for step (d) in that same exercise: The line which reads:
"... 16x16 central box size."
should read:
"... 8x8 central box size."
