Introduction to SAS

This document is a reference source for UA students, faculty, and staff who need a general introduction to using SAS on CCIT's U-System.

What is SAS?

SAS is an integrated system of software programs which manipulate, analyze, and summarize data. SAS may be run interactively by using the display manager or an Xwindows interface, or SAS may be used in non-interactive (also called batch) mode by writing commands to a separate file.
