• SAS Release 9.00 is installed on the U System (ptah.u.arizona.edu and bast.u.arizona.edu).
• SAS Release 9.00 is also available through a site license for current versions of Microsoft Windows. Version 6.12 is available for the Macintosh.

Available SAS Products and Current Documentation

The following is a partial list and description of SAS products available on CCIT platforms. Some of the more commonly-used Reference Guides are listed following each product, and may be examined in CCIT Research Computing Support, Room 112. While these guides were written for Version 6, they are also appropriate for Version 9. • Base SAS - Provides basic tools for data management, analysis, summarization, file handling, simple descriptive statistics, and report writing.
  • SAS Language: Reference. Version Six, First Edition.

  • SAS Guide to Macro Processing. Version Six, Second Edition.
• SAS/STAT (Statistics) - Performs more complex statistical procedures such as regression, ANOVA, factor analysis, and loglinear analysis.
  • SAS/STAT User's Guide, Volumes 1 and 2 . Version Six, Fourth Edition.
• SAS/GRAPH - Displays interactive graphics, including bar, pie, and block charts, two- and three-dimensional plots, and maps.

• SAS/ETS (Econometric and Time Series) - Provides tools for business data analysis, time-series analysis, forecasting, modeling, and financial reporting

• SAS/IML (Interactive Matrix Language) - An interactive programming language whose basic elements are matrices.

• SAS/FSP (Full Screen Product) - Interactive, menu-driven facilities for data entry and editing, retrieval of SAS files, letter writing, and spreadsheet analysis.

• SAS/QC (Quality Control) - Provides a comprehensive set of tools for statistical quality improvement, including tools for process capability analysis, statistical process control, experimental design, and sampling plan evaluation.

• SAS/OR (Operations Research) - A set of programs for exploring models of distribution networks, production systems, resource allocation problems, and scheduling questions using the tools of operations research.
