- Look at the mathematica manpage
- Mathematica is available on the U-System and Super machines.
- To use the graphical interface, setup the DISPLAY variable
- Then at the Unix prompt type:
- A new window will appear with your mathematica session.
- To obtain help, just click on Help in the upper right corner. A new window will be displayed.
- In the Help window you can select Getting Started/Demos
to obtain access to a tour of mathematica's examples, description
of functions and keywords.
- There are several books on mathematica and its
application available at the Bookstore.
- To run mathematica interactively is: math
There's a math manpage.
- math can be also run in the background or in batch mode:
math < math_input.m > output &
