DreamweaverMX - Problems

Using DreamweaverMX under Mac OS 9

Tunneling MX under OS 9's SSH applications does not work. If you want to develop webpages under OS 9 with MX, you will need to accomplish secure file transport from your OS 9 Mac to the webserver separately and explicitly through another application like Fetch. If you decide to go back to Version 4 instead, read below.

Giving Up on MX?

If the trouble of explicitly having to up/download and not being able to use the arrow icons to Get and Put files under MX makes you want Dreamweaver4 back, you must use a special procedure.
  • This applies to Mac OS 9 only.
  • After trying MX, you cannot simply start running Dreamweaver4 again.
  • You must use the install disk and re-install Dreamweaver4.
